Keep Warm, Insulation
Cellular shades are comprised of “honeycombs.” Honeycombs create air pockets that trap in the cold air and prevent it from coming into your room. Our honeycomb window shades keep things warmer just like your blanket does, with little pockets of air.
Spunlace Nonwoven
Spunlace nonwoven is a non-woven cloth. Insulation, electrical conductivity. Filtering, breathable impermeable. Waterproof and breathable. Fold resistance, good flexibility, high moisture, water repellency.
Type of fabrics
The cellular fabric that we use is made in Taiwan out of a strong bonded polyester material. The material we use to manufacture our shades, will lessen air filtration through the cellular shade.
Single cell, Double cell.
In many cases, single cellular honeycomb shades are less expensive than double cell. Another advantage to single cellular shades is insulation. If energy efficiency is your main concern, then a double cell material is your best bet.
Cell Sizes, Pleat Sizes
The fractional measurements included with each product represent the size of the cell created by the two pieces of fabric. We’ve organized the cell measurements into three categories: Small (25 mm), Mid-Size (38 mm), and Large (45 mm). Mid-size Cellular Shades are the most popular category of single-cell honeycomb shades on the market.
